Something in the poo
For a period of five years leading up to Aug. of 2006, Rachael Wakefield's health mysteriously faltered, deteriorating so poorly she required an oxygen tank 24 hours a day. Finally that summer, specialists at a London hospital found the problem: the U.K. teen's pet cockatiel. Wakefield suffered from what is known as "bird fancier's lung," whereby protein dust from a bird's droppings triggers hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Wakefield nearly died while doctors tried to diagnose the affliction, and later had to give the cockatiel away to her grandmother.
Games developers are turning their focus towards indie games designed for smart phones or tablets, rather than traditional consoles.
