DirectX Box - what's in a name?
The sixth-generation console was designed by a team of Microsoft engineers including DirectX team leader Otto Berkes. The project name ‘DirectX Box’ soon became the Xbox, despite Microsoft’s marketing team reportedly not being happy with the moniker.
This is the chrome Xbox concept prototype from September 2000 along with the Xbox team.
